How to find Heavenly Father’s love

If you googled, “how to find Heavenly Father’s love,” or “how to find God’s love,” you are looking in the wrong place.  But I can direct you to where you can go to find it and that is to the source Himself.

We Mormons believe that a person can ask God and receive an answer.  This belief is based on the scripture in James 1:5, “If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” (see other scriptures about this here.)  We believe that if you want to know something, you can ask, with real intent, the source of all truth and light, and expect an answer.  It is knowledge that can only be revealed to you.  So if you are truly searching for God’s love in your life, to be uplifted, and encouraged in your life, find a quiet place, kneel down, pray, and then listen.  And I promise you that if you truly ask and truly listen, you will hear.

If God could answer the prayer of an “obscure boy” of fourteen years of age, He can answer you.  (See Joseph Smith’s story here.)
