Rachel’s birthday last Sunday was fun. We invited over the relatives in town and had cake and ice cream. Rachel enjoyed her party. Although she was pretty sleepy when we got home from church.
Nice party, guys!
Here is a picture of the cupcakes I made. The new giant pastry tips I bought worked really well.
And even though she started the party off kind of sleepy, Rachel ended up really liking to open her presents. She started tearing open the biggest one right away. And she really liked eating her cupcake.
A part of Katie’s prayer on a regular basis. (Since Scott spends a lot of time picking up rocks in our backyard.) Today’s lunch prayer included “Please bless Grandma and Grandpa Rowberry and Jared…pick up rocks.” Since they came over to help pick up some more of our rocks.
Be careful the terms of endearment you use with second children (or probably third or fourth, etc.) Now all Katie calls Rachel is Little Stinker.
And if you look close, you will see mommy’s eyeliner pencil on her face. (And yes, it did make it to Rachel’s face, too!)
Rachel’s birthday! Looking for cool and easy ways to decorate a cake for a one year old. Post an idea if you have one. Katie wants flowers on it. I thought it might be fun to do a ladybug or maybe just some cute cupcakes like those below. But still undecided. Tell me what your ideas are!
Yes, I know. It has been a while since I posted. And mostly that has to do with us moving, but it also has to do with laziness. I have even thought of a few things to post. But just haven’t done it. Well, I’m back.
Here’s our family news: we moved into our new home and so far, LOVE IT! It’s awesome, our ward is awesome, our neighbors are awesome. Things are going great.
That said, we have a lot of work to do. We bought a house on a third of an acre with an unfinished backyard. Very unfinished. It started as being very weedy. And now it is just very rocky.
Here’s the very weedy part:
Here’s a picture of half mowed weedy:
And when I take a picture of the rocky part, I will post that, too.
